Upon leaving school after attaining his A-Levels, Tom originally pursued a career as a Chef. Whilst his cooking talents where never questioned he quickly realised that the route to becoming a celebrity chef was fraught with peril! With that in mind he turned his attention to his other talents, namely numbers. He quickly found a position within the costs team of a medium sized law firm dealing predominately with civil litigation and all aspects of personal injury.
His passion for legal costs developed thereafter as his technical skills as a junior draftsman flourished by further embracing the challenges of negotiation and detailed assessment. His enjoyment for unravelling technical points drove him in such matters to find a positive resolution where possible, leaving no stone unturned. He progressed through the ranks and took over the reigns of the Costs Team as Costs Manager within his previous firm for the last 10 years prior to leaving and joining TMC in the spring of 2010.
Tom therefore has a wide range of experience concerning all areas of civil litigation costs and applies that knowledge to ensure that the best results for his clients are attained each and every time. He was responsible for drafting his previous firm's CFAs and client care correspondence to ensure that the same were fully compliant.
